The smiles, the falls, the burps, the hugs, the poops, the kisses. It’s all part of the wonderful world of being a mother. Soon you’ll be attending a baby shower and helping the new mom eat cake, open presents and bask in the warm glow of her about-to-be momma status.
Planning for a newborn can be a lot of work—especially for new moms who most likely need to start from scratch with all baby-related products. Baby showers are a wonderful way for the new mom to acquire all the accoutrements that baby needs. Most women will register for their shower and are likely to have a long list of essentials included such as: stroller, bassinet, diaper bag, baby blankets, room monitor, baby carrier and a car seat. Going in with another person or group to purchase some of the larger items is completely acceptable and helps mom receive some of those bigger-ticket items.

And don’t shy away from buying more practical pieces (although we think matching booties are practical) as mom will also need lots of socks and sleepers and little hats to keep baby’s head warm.
